Sifting Words at The Lights, Andover: for those who attended the Winchester Poetry Weekend you may remember Saturday's headliner "Tongue Fu".  Host Chris Redmond is back with the band and joined by local poets in this creative celebration of ecology, showing that being green can be both powerful and poetic.  FREE event on Thursday 21st July 7 - 9.30pm.

First Fictions ~ First Graphic Novel Competition  closing date: 1st October 2011.  Myriad Editions is sponsoring the first ever competition for a first graphic novel in progress.  Entry may be by a single author or collaboration between a writer and artist.  The winner will have the opportunity to develop their work in progress with Myriad's creative and editorial team with a view to being offered a contract and publication by Myriad in 2012/13.  http://www.myriadeditions.com/FirstGraphicNovelCompetition
